Mikayla's Media Corner #12

Hello all, I only have two recs this week and both are podcasts! I’m in between television series and have turned to podcasts. Here we go!

• Asian Boss Girl is “a podcast for the modern Asian American woman” created in 2017 by three friends who discuss life in LA as 20-something-year- olds. The podcast covers life, work, friendship, dating, and their experiences as an Asian American woman. It’s hosted by Melody Cheng, Helen Wu, and Janet Wang who have had successful corporate, finance, and media careers allowing them to share their experiences. The podcast is fun, engaging, and intimate; it draws you in making you feel like part of their group. (Link to image)

• As someone who is uneducated about the occupation of Palestine, I felt the need to try and understand what is happening in Gaza. After a bit of digging through Spotify, I found This is Palestine - The IMEU Podcast. It broke down what is happening in Gaza and the history of Palestine and Israel in a way that was easily digestible. The podcast is part of a larger non-profit organization meant to increase access to Palestinian stories. If you are interested in learning about and understanding w4hat Palestine is fighting for this is a great place to start. (Link to image)
