Mikayla's Media Corner #14

Hello! Happy Friday friends. This week has sped by and I actually am not sure how it’s the weekend. Been listening to a lot of music lately and here are some of my favorites!

Camélia Jordana’s album Facile x Fragile was released earlier this year and I’m a fan. Jordana is a French-Algerian singer and actress. Her voice is smooth, sultry, and effortless. The album is only 1 hour and 11 minutes, however it has 20 songs and is grouped into 2 discs. The first disc ranges from mid tempo to upbeat pop songs incorporating unique beats, a range of instrumentals, and production elements that create a distinct sound. Favorites from disc 1 include Le Monde en Main, J’Oublie Vite, Te Parler, and Facile. As the first disc segues into the second, the tempo seems to slow down and the music takes on a groovy almost trance-like quality. The second disc makes me feel like I’ve stepped into a small intimate performance and showcases Jordana’s vocals beautifully. In particular, I recommend Les garçons and Because of You. Facile x Fragile. Overall, if you like French pop music this is definitely worth a listen! (Link to image)
